Our longstanding partnership with Kingston University provided students with a beautiful and creative environment. We wished Kingston a fond farewell as we moved into our new building in Clapham.
Past external examiners for our courses include Alistair Jones, Education Director for Yamaha-Kemble (UK) and Paul White, Editor of Sound on Sound Magazine.
We have been pleased to host seminars by the Music Producers Guild and benefit from lectures by members.
Visits to external venues and visiting lectures include: Autograph, SSL, Euphonix, Hear no Evil Studios, Teddington Studios, Pinewood, ITN, De Lane Lea, Ladbroke Productions,Tim Turan, Haydon Bendall, Tony Platt.

City University is our validating body. It is an international centre for academic excellence, and has a fantastic record for graduate employment, which speaks for itself. We are very proud that City hold our BA Hons in such high esteem.

The Music Producers Guild (UK) promotes and represents all individuals in the music production and recording professions. It is a professional organisation that embodies collective and individual creative contributions to the production and recording of all genres of music and media related activities. Gateway is one of the few schools officially recognized by the MPG.

The APRS promotes the highest standards of professionalism and quality within the audio industry. Its members are recording studios, post-production houses, mastering, replication and other music facilities and providers of education and training, as well as audio freelance engineers, manufacturers suppliers and consultants. Gateway is one of the few schools officially recognized by the APRS.

DV are the UK's leading computer music systems retailer, with pro audio and guitar shops throughout the UK. They have chosen our school and studios as a location to demonstrate and trial new equipment. Thus in addition to our existing equipment we also have access to the very latest software and hardware from a wide range of manufacturers in our studios.

Ubiq designed and built this web site, and they deliver short training courses in web development, graphics, page layout and multimedia. They are one of the foremost training centres in the UK for applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, inDesign, Dreamweaver, CSS and Flash. Ubiq have taught several of our second and third year multimedia course modules.

Our links with COMA, the national leader in contemporary music making for amateurs, have provided workshop, recording and playing opportunities.

Recording master-classes organised with SOAS have produced excellent albums of Mbira and Latin music recorded by our students under the tutelage of Gateway Studio's highly sought after in house engineer Steve Lowe - a major force in the world music and jazz recording.
For Kingston Mind we have an ongoing programme of recording projects involving our students within the local community.
Together with Wandsworth City Learning Centre and Malecon Productions we have developed and run National Youth Foundation for Music courses for young people.
We have a programme of visits to and from further education and sixth form colleges including the Royal National College for the Blind.
