| About our Facilities | Our studios and lecturing facilities are equipped with some of the latest digital hardware and software available, and are also stocked with a healthy collection of analogue equipment. We continuously upgrade the studios every year to keep abreast with the changing demands of the industry and students' expectations. Compatible hardware and software in different studios allow easy transfer of projects for overdubbing or mixing purposes. Natural daylight in all the studios and live room leads to a more comfortable working environment. Our partnership with Digital VillageIn addition to the permanent equipment in the studios, our association with Digital Village ensures there is a constant stream of the latest products on trial and demonstration in all rooms. This is a huge advantage for our students who will be constantly exposed to the latest software, for example, the moment it is released. We also host product launches for major manufacturers, most recently Logic 8 for Apple.
Trying out equipment at Digital Village Booking Studio TimeStudents can book time in advance in any of the studios as they wish during spare daytime slots or in the evenings and weekends via our booking system. There is continuous technical support and maintenance to ensure all sessions run smoothly. Making the most of our studiosStudents naturally use the spaces both for practicing techniques and concepts taught in lessons, and also for completing practical assignments. However, we also encourage students to use the studios to work on their own material, either amongst themselves, with friends, or with external artists. It is possible therefore to build up a portfolio of work over 3 years that they can then show to prospective employers or clients. Students thus learn to be even more organised, responsible and professional in their approach to large scale projects.
